Doremiel Organics Review: Honey Skincare

“If everything is honey, and I am what I eat, I must be made of honey…and life is very sweet!” –Winnie The pooh

Have you heard of Doremiel Organics yet? They’re all over Instagram, so I was really excited that they sent me three of their products to try: the organic honey anti-age eye moisturizer ($25), organic honey moisture serum ($33), and organic honey revitalizing night cream ($36).

My first impression of the products was that the packaging is nice and the products smell really good. There are definite notes of sweet honey, but overall the smell is very clean and light.

Honey, for those who don’t know, is a natural antibacterial that treats acne and delivers antioxidants to the skin to prevent aging. (Perfect for someone in her 30s who still breaks out occasionally and also cares about reducing fine lines and wrinkles!) Another natural ingredient in their products are Amla fruit which is one of the most potent antioxidants in the world and improves collagen and elasticity to the skin.

I’ve used about a dozen different skincare products trying to get rid of a few problem areas on my face. Specifically, breakouts that won’t go away and keep coming back. I was thinking perhaps that’s because I’ve had a chemical overload. Maybe my skin just needed a boost from something natural?

That’s why I was excited to try an organic product line. Every product they make is organic, which I can appreciate.

My mother hopped on the “organic everything” bandwagon years ago, but I’ve been slow to follow. And, honestly, I’ve only recently started to care about what I put on my skin. Given that the skin is the our largest organ, it’s important to pay close attention to what we’re slathering on it.

Doremiel is non-GMO and contains no gluten, parabens, hydrogenates, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate or artificial frangrances. So, even those with the most sensitive skin should be able to use their products.

While the products I tested didn’t stop my breakouts, they did “heal” my skin. My face has never felt more soft and my skin has never felt more supple than since I started using Doremiel. I’m curious to find out how my skin would react to their organic honey gentle cleansing jelly ($21.50) and their honey gentle toner ($21.50). I would imagine if I added those products to my skincare routine, I would have had even better results!

I’ll continue to use these creams/serum and post any updates should I have them. In the meantime, keep checking back for more beauty-related content.
